Preparation process
(BEAM HOUSE)
The purpose of the preparation process is to remove unnecessary components and tissues for leather manufacturing from rawhides, and to separate collagen fibers from the dermis to give flexibility.
Major process includes Soaking, Liming, Fleshing, and Splitting.
Tanning process
(TANNING)
TANNING is a process that chemically changes the collagen structure of rawhides after the preparation process.
The skins treated after the tanning process are called as “leather.”
Major process includes Tanning, Shaving, Retanning and Dyeing.
Finishing process
(FINISHING)
The finishing process gives to increase the durability and commercial purpose of leather by matching colors, softness, texture and luster of the leather per customer's requirements.
Major process includes
Drying, Toggling, Tumbling, and Finishing.
